Mountain bike & e-bike

The nature around Gurgl is also perfect for exploring by bike. Signposted mountain bike routes lead you to the most beautiful huts and places. If you want to enjoy the panorama more and sweat less, grab an e-bike. Bike & hike tours are also particularly popular. First of all, you can cover quite a few metres in altitude on your bike, then continue on your hiking boots with great views.

Road Biking
Road cyclists also get their money's worth in Obergurgl and the entire Ötztal. The legendary Timmelsjoch is just a stone's throw away from Hotel Wiesental. The secret gateway to the south winds its way from Hochgurgl up to 2,474 metres and continues on the Italian side with just as many bends. By the way: the Timmelsjoch is also part of the route of the Ötztal Cycle Marathon, which attracts 4,000 participants every year.
